Performed as a Battalion Operations Officer for a regional battalion responsible for current and future information and influence activities and operations (including US PSYOP) for the US Army Europe Command and Special Operations Command Europe. Highlight: Trained and deployed the first Military Information Support Teams (MISTs) on permanent rotation to Ukraine in support of US Special Operations and US Department of State. Certified MISTs for military support to public diplomacy operations. Coordinated with NATO allied militaries to use messages to counter foreign aggression.
Served as Operations officer for a PSYOP group responsible for current and future US-led PSYOP in Europe, Africa and Central Commands on behalf of US Army Special Operations Command (Airborne). • Directed, supervised, coordinated, and synchronized pre-deployment training and validation for three subordinate battalions. • Planned and coordinated operations for training and validation programs; responsible for developing and implementing annual training guidance, budget, and command inspections programs. Highlight: Implemented a Cross Cultural Communications Competition as a capstone event to validate deploying soldiers’ ability to adapt and function in ambiguous environments and communicate with individuals from disparate cultures.
Founding company commander for Company A, 7th Psychological Operations Battalion (Airborne), the only battalion responsible for PSYOP planning and operations in support of US Africa Command and Special Operations Command Africa. • Created a new organization consisting of 104 soldiers; established and supervised unit operating procedures, budget, training and inspection programs, and pre-deployment training. • Provided Special Operations Command Africa with operational design planning concepts for PSYOP that were incorporated into the commander’s strategic communications and engagement plan. Highlight: Established a new company within a new battalion, achieved full operational capability and assumed responsibility for missions within Africa three months ahead of schedule.
