Experienced software engineer specialized in high-tech applications, with C, C++ and Python as main languages. I have a background in mechatronics, and I am skilled both in embedded and desktop environments. Platforms I worked with include ARM (bare-metal and RTOS), (embedded) Linux, and Windows. I’m also familiar with tools like Docker, GitHub Actions, and GitLab Workflows for CI/CD / DevOps. I prefer not to stay limited to one platform, I can oversee and work on the full path from a web button click to the cloud and finally some device, where that button click has some effect on. Therefore, I would regard myself a full-stack engineer. I have worked in the medical, automotive, audio, building & information technology, semicon equipment, and analytical instruments fields and have also worked as a part-time teacher. I have a strong focus on quality, reuse, and good (object-oriented) design principles. I have a strong focus on usability and user experience. I have a drive to go deep, yet I want to understand every layer of the system. With my background in mechatronics, my view expands beyond the borders of the chip enclosure. I have knowledge of electronic circuits, communication interfaces commonly found in embedded applications, and I am familiar with measurement equipment for problem analysis. I have experience in Agile working environments. I am a team player and believe that we can achieve better results together. I get a lot of satisfaction from sharing my knowledge, and making people learn new things. I always keep my eyes open to keep improving myself as well. My ambition is to develop myself towards a lead engineer.
