As a Principal Consultant at Avieco (formerly Carbon Smart), I work with organisations around the globe to address the challenge of transitioning to more sustainable business practices and processes. I am currently lead Avieco's net zero services, working to advise clients on how to make net zero a reality, in addition to complying with regulatory requirements, meeting investor expectations, establishing and articulating a clear sustainability strategy, objectives and targets, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiencies. Since joining Avieco, I have delivered projects for public & private sector clients across a broad range of sectors including Lloyd's of London, European Investment Bank, Royal Mail, Close Brothers, BDO, ASOS, Dentsu Aegis Network, Centrica & Linklaters. Past projects include: - Net zero support - I have helped several businesses, events and products to achieve net zero emissions in line with best practice by measuring and reducing carbon emissions - Regulatory compliance - I lead on ESOS services & have overseen the delivery of compliance for dozens of businesses - Strategy development - I have worked with multinationals to identify stakeholder expectations, climate-related risks/opportunities & establish global sustainability strategies - Carbon & voluntary reporting - I have worked with clients to report in line with best practice frameworks such as WRI & GRI, as well as voluntary frameworks including CDP, UNGC & TCFD. - Energy auditing - As an experienced auditor, I have conducted hundreds of energy audits at offices, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, sport venues & events spaces. - Management systems - I have designed, established & implemented certified ISO 14001, ISO 50001 & EMAS management systems - Renewable technology - From the initial options appraisals to in-depth technical & economic assessments of specific technologies, I have led on the scoping and installation of renewable tech

Working primarily within Carbon Smart's 'Strategy & Reporting' and 'Energy & Resources' teams, my core work areas include: - Strategy development - Carbon reporting - Verification & assurance - Energy auditing & energy savings recommendations - Financial modelling - Renewable energy technology appraisals - Business case development - CDP submission support - Staff engagement & behaviour change - Waste & resource management From identifying significant savings (£1.9 million, 6.6 million kWh energy savings & 6.4MW in renewable generation opportunities) for numerous clients through ESOS engagements to project managing staff engagement programmes across 20 countries, I have worked with clients to make sustainability work for their organisation. As Climate Change Programme Officer at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea I led on Council's internal carbon reductions efforts (primarily through improved resource efficiency and behavioural change). During my time the Council surpassed it's first target (20% by 2014), began planning for its next target (30% by 2017) and was in the process of embedding sustainability within the organisation. I also managed the Council's internal recycling efforts, and have led on a number of waste reduction projects, as well as leading on related communications initiatives such as the 'Green Champion' scheme and the Council's 'Greener Living Guide' - a publication aimed at facilitating a reduction in the environmental impact of Kensington & Chelsea's residents. Further areas of experience included providing environmental support to SME's, website content development, event organisation, benchmarking and project management.
