Danielle founded The Shift Group in 2014 and has more than 27 years of experience in architecture. The Shift Group launched just prior to beginning her Fellowship at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and after having designed more than 50 projects representing hundreds of millions in construction investment in corporate, high-end residential, restaurant, resort, and urban development projects. As principal of Shift Collaborative, Danielle led the design team that created the Hyperloop | One Creative Campus in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles. Prior to Shift, Danielle spent 7 years with the award-winning FGY Architects in Palo Alto, CA as the lead project architect for the private residences of executives at Apple and Facebook, as well as many other Silicon Valley blue chip firms. Previous to FGY, Danielle led the residential architecture department inside Wingfield Nevada Group, the developer of an entirely new city proposed north of Las Vegas. Danielle is also formerly a co-founder of two technology startups. As CEO of Boqa Inc., she designed, built & launched the nation’s first democratized opinion-polling platform on the web. As President of Formwork, she designed a web and mobile application for intuitive and simple document collaboration for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, & Construction) industry. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, Danielle has in her portfolio a Net Zero “Passive House” which is among the most energy- and resource-efficient new residences in the United States. She has also lectured on sustainable design at Singularity University housed in the NASA Research Park. As an undergraduate in architecture she won the top scholarship to attend the Rome program. She also studied abroad in Cuba & Mexico through the BaSiC Initiative (Building Sustainable Communities) and took the design to the field to build educational facilities in distressed communities. Danielle is licensed in California and Nevada and has national reciprocity.
