I hold a Chief Mate Class II/2 Unlimited Certificate of Competency and a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Nautical Science. My seagoing experience includes service on oil and gas tankers with BP Maritime Services, progressing to the rank of Third Officer, and holding both oil and gas dangerous cargo endorsements. I also served with Princess Cruises from 2017 to 2020, gaining extensive experience on large passenger vessels and working within a diverse, multinational crew, which significantly broadened my operational and leadership experience. I am a qualified VTS Supervisor with On-the-Job Training Instructor certification, currently employed at Dublin Port. My responsibilities include the safe and efficient management of vessel traffic movements and the protection of the marine environment.
Volunteering member of Civil Defence. Worked closely with community and trained for situations which are hoped to not happen in real life. Skills I have acquired from my training include First Aid, Search and Rescue, Fire Fighting and Radio Communications. I hold a Cardiac First Responder card, a certification of use of an AED.

Maintenance of LSA as per SOLAS requirements. Maintain a safe navigational watch. Maintain cargo watch whilst in port loading and discharging LNG carrier. Maintenance and testing of GMDSS equipment.
I have completed 13 months sea time on board Oil tankers, Product carriers and LNG carriers with BP Maritime Services, gaining experience both on deck and on the bridge, as a deck cadet.
