As a learning coach, I develop confident, independent learners by giving them the strategies, skills, structure, and support they need to succeed in ANY learning environment. I help students of all ages to shift their mindsets, utilize new skills and habits and ultimately gain the confidence and independence necessary for success in and beyond school. I value training that addresses the whole self: Mind+Body+Spirit. As such, my goal is to foster a lifelong love of learning and enrich learners with lives they love. I have loved teaching Caribbean and African American literature at some of the top public universities and private colleges in America including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Smith College and Wesleyan University. And I'm equally passionate about the work I do beyond the academic world in Trinidad and Tobago.
