As an early childhood educator, my main duties were the following: Weekly design lesson plans tailored to the 3-4 year old students' interests and needs, incorporating storytelling, singing, and hands-on activities, adapting plans to meet each child's unique needs, providing extra support or challenges as needed. Using the Reggio Emilia approach, which encourages children to take the lead in their own learning. I'd set up the classroom to inspire curiosity and creativity, with open-ended materials and provocations to spark imagination. I'd conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress, identifying areas where they needed extra support thus helping me to tailor teaching to meet individual needs and ensure developmental milestones are achieved. By creating a safe and supportive learning environment, where children learn how to regulate there social-emotional skills like sharing, taking turns, and cooperating with others. Using a play-based learning approach, activities used, encouraged exploration, creativity, and imagination, whether building with blocks, creating art, or engaging in dramatic play. I developed strong observation and assessment skills, learned to plan engaging activities, and created a supportive learning environment.
