Responsible for new product and process validation, PPAP deliverables, new supplier and component qualification
• Provide Quality Support and collaborate with R&D and Engineering to support new product introduction process for company strategic product lines following AQPQ process. Conduct contract review, product design review, quality feasibility analysis. Participate in the development of DFMEA, Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, and devise control plan, sampling plan and procedures. Support FAI, tolerance study, capability Cpk study and MSA study activities • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, select and acquire new Inspection Equipment per customer requirements, collaborate with Engineering on fixture and gages designs for quality inspection • Assist in key customer complains handling and lead CAPA efforts in containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D process) and complaint closing • Oversee key accounts PPAP (verification and validation) activities and ensure all quality requirements are met before the products are released to production • Conduct Quality Management System and Layered Process Audit planning, perform internal and external audits and assist with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 audit activities to ensure successful closure of non-conformities • Responsible for new Supplier qualification and PPAP approval • Provide training for junior quality engineers and support in process inspection to debug CMM program issues as needed • Oversee quality activities in Engineering Change and Document Control processes • Conduct Weekly COPQ reports and participate in Material Review Board (MRB) material reviews to disposition nonconformities and to issue supplier corrective actions when needed
▪ Drive CAPA process from containment, root cause investigation, corrective and preventive actions implementation and validation (8D) for customer complaints, internal quality issues and warranty returns ▪ Establish professional relationship with Supplier Quality Engineer in response to customer quality issue containment and resolution ▪ Lead efforts in implementation of issue management system in acquisition of new PLM software, develop process flow, identify key system requirements and users, determine functionalities ▪ Develop metrics to evaluate all manufacturing sites and conduct periodic quality review to share lessons learned across the whole organization ▪ Develop and update Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA and Control Plan for new and existing programs with compliance with customer specific requirements in support of APQP (PPAP) process ▪ Develop and update standardized work instructions, visual aids, and quality management procedures ▪ Perform internal process audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 TS 16949. Assist in closing TS audits nonconformities. ▪ Conduct study of potential quality impacts on customer requirement revisions ▪ Analyze company and Tier II warranty performance with tools such as Pareto and Paynter charts, ensure compliance with customer requirements and suggest for the implementation of necessary corrective actions ▪ Review and update quality procedure and process flow to ensure compliance with CQI-14 Warranty Management system. Conduct periodic evaluation ▪ Drive warranty costs reduction through warranty return and claims analysis and recommend corrective and preventative actions ▪ Inform management of major OEM customer warranty recovery methodology and procedure, review corresponding debits, conduct debit summary reports for management ▪ Identify company and department training needs. Develop training materials and conduct training in support of company and departmental objectives ▪ Support various customer audits
