I've been building software for over 20 years, across mining, resources, government, and cyber intelligence. The throughline in all of it is the same: the systems that matter most are the ones that have to hold up under scrutiny, not just in a demo. At Steltek, I lead the engineering behind Constant, our Essential Eight compliance platform built for organisations with ongoing compliance obligations. Compliance software has a credibility problem. It needs to be accurate, auditable, and defensible, not just automated. I designed Constant's architecture with that in mind, including automated evidence collection, AI-assisted reviews, and workflow logic that keeps certified assessors involved throughout. The result is a platform built with assessors, not assumptions. Before Steltek, I built mission-critical systems for BHP, Anglo American, WorldStack, and others across sectors where failure has real consequences. Team Lead/Designed and Developed Providence application frontend and backend, used for cyber intelligence for many large government and private sector organisations. Designed and Developed worldstack engine application for scanning and data collection from many internet sources use for social and security detection, (DarkWeb, NVD, Social Media websites, Web) Designed and Developer check social platform used for checking online digital footprints of specific people.
Developed a mobile application for android and iphone using react native/expo for the tracking of assets and planning. Which was later used as the basis for a design system for other mobile applications throughout the company. Developed and designed a react application for resource and reserve management. Building a complex workflow system for management of the process which required multiple inputs for and approvals from different parties. Built a number of components and screens as part of Digital Operation Planning solution which used complex algorithms to calculate and predict future outcomes based on many inputs. Working daily with the latest technologies building components and screens. Liaising with teams and stakeholders to provide cutting edge well designed user interfaces to simplify complex tasks.
Developed and released to production on time and budget a premier tracking system utilized by key personnel, production accounting and all eight iron ore mine sites with-in BHP. Development of many complex screens and interfaces that provide real time data or ore analytes, or location, stockpiles, loading on to rakes/trains, uploading/export of data Continuous deployment of backend and front end using azure, github, team city to five different environments. Working daily with stakeholders, testing team, Business Analytes, Oracle backend Team, API development team and UX team to build a bespoke mission critical system that is a key part of the business.
Architect of User interface, technologies and implementation. Creation of a system that enables clients of the system to manage their drilling equipment. Access and analyze drill data with the use of custom grids and charts. Access and manage mobile user device management within the website and control over external access for subcontractors. Working with users, stakeholders and development team to deliver high quality user interfaces using the latest technologies. Creating Azure .net core backend micro services architecture. Using Azure functions for time delay and critical tasks.
