Seattle, Washington, United States
I’m a public library leader committed to advancing equitable, human-centered library service through thoughtful people management, strong operational leadership and collaborative system-wide work. My career has been shaped within The Seattle Public Library, where I’ve supported neighborhood branches, led regional initiatives and partnered across departments to strengthen public service. Most recently, I served as Interim Northwest Regional Manager, providing leadership across multiple branches and supervising librarians, operations supervisors and library associates. In this role, I guided teams through complex operational and personnel challenges, conducted performance evaluations, supported supervisors and ensured service continuity during periods of transition and change. My leadership approach is grounded in transparency and trust. I prioritize creating environments where staff feel supported, accountable and empowered to serve their communities well. I bring deep experience navigating unionized environments, interpreting policy and labor agreements and addressing facilities and safety issues with care for both staff and the public. I also have a strong background in system-wide programming and stewardship. I led regional Summer of Learning efforts, managed Foundation-funded programming and authored outcome-focused reports that documented impact and informed future service planning. I’m driven by the belief that libraries thrive when staff voices are heard, community needs guide decision-making and leaders show up with consistency and integrity. I’m especially drawn to roles that blend people leadership, operational strategy and a deep commitment to public service.
