Daniel Goldstein MD is a medical oncologist and internist at Rabin Medical Center in Israel, as well as a professor in Medical Oncology at Tel Aviv University. His clinical focus is treating patients with genitourinary cancers. He received his medical training at Leeds University, UK, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Emory University, Atlanta. He has published over 100 papers mostly focused on the economics of cancer care both in the USA and around the world, focusing on cost-effectiveness, budget impact and affordability. This led to his appointment as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management, Gillings School of Public Health, University of North Carolina. His work has been reported in major news outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and the Economist. More recently he has been focusing on opportunities to reduce cancer drug expenditure with dose adjustments, while maintaining health outcomes. He is a consultant to health care payers around the world.
