About

Work doesn't feel like work when we are driven by a genuine care for our clients to do our best for them every day. I am deeply passionate about direct social work and our clients, especially communities at the margins of society. Instead of being involved in pure indirect practice, I am grateful for the postgraduate policy background and the new perspectives it brings to enhance how we can better work together with our clients. With 7 years of my own lived experience, disability social work, advocacy and volunteering have a special importance to me. Along with prior experience in criminal justice social work, and the various causes/marginalized communities I have volunteered with - I've always believed that if it is a cause that matters to oneself, then it is a cause that needs getting down on the ground to.
