Shell Pernis is the largest integrated refinery complex in Europe and occupies a strategic location in the Rotterdam industrial region. It has a strong track record of safe and reliable operations. The SDA unit will give the refinery more flexibility to respond to market developments and reduce the environmental footprint of its products. The investment strengthens Shell Pernis’ position as an important contributor to the Dutch economy and as one of the largest employers in the Rotterdam port area. In my role as project buyer for the Shell SDA project, I'm responsible for the procurement of the complete Instrumentation and Electrical scope. Roles and responsibilities; - Mumbai workshare coordination. - Send out requests for quotations (RFQ’s) to selected vendors. - Evaluate the received quotations (commercial) - Organize and participate in bid clarification meetings with vendors. - Purchase order placement. - Hand over the purchase orders to expediting department. - Approval of the invoices.
In my role as project buyer for the Jacobs Hoogvliet office, I was responsible for the procurement of all Shell Pernis program projects with a TIC value < 5 million EURO. Roles and responsibilities; - Participate in Kick-off meetings, planning sessions, etc. - Set up the sourcing strategy for the projects. - Send out requests for quotations (RFQ’s) to selected vendors. - Evaluate the received quotations (commercial) - Organize and participate in bid clarification meetings with vendors. - Purchase order placement. - Expediting the order for timely delivery and fulfillment of PO conditions. - Initiate pre-inspection meetings and expediting visits. - Approval of the invoices.
