I am a learning specialist with a strong interest in connecting people. My experience includes learning & development consultancy, collaborative action research, university teaching and distance education. I have particular knowledge and experience of learning in networks and communities of practice. Key areas of expertise: Professional learning, organisational change, leadership, learning and value creation in networks and communities.
In mijn rol als trainee in de schoolleiding krijg ik de kans om te proeven aan het schoolleiderschap. Het biedt me de mogelijkheid om mijn leiderschapskwaliteiten (verder) te ontwikkelen en een bijdrage te leveren aan de bijzondere school die het Vathorst College is.
Provision of bespoke research and consultancy services in the field of education, professional learning and leadership. Previously I worked in close collaboration with Academie voor Gespreid Leiderschap (Academy for Distributed Leadership). Previous projects include: - Teaching and development of a Master’s course on Educational policy making in practice at the University of Glasgow. - Design and delivery of a leadership workshop for BME teachers in Scotland. - Developing an online course on Leading people and organisations at the University of Glasgow. - Extensive analyses and writing of a full research report for a local authority in Scotland. - Literature review on leadership in the public sector.
Binnen Academie Tien richt ik mij op de onderwijskundige ondersteuning en versterking van het onderwijs in het tweede leerjaar.
Working with the Robert Owen Centre for Educational Change and What Works Scotland. I deliver research and consultancy services in the field of professional learning, leadership and educational equity, such as: - Design of a networked school improvement programme for schools across Scotland and delivery to headteachers and teachers; - Design and execution of research on innovative public service leadership; - Programme evaluation, including programmes focusing on holiday hunger in deprived areas, comprehensive family support to enhance pupil engagement in school, and inter-authority collaboration; - Design and planning of an ambitious initiative to create collective impact of education, public services, third sector organisations and businesses on children’s outcomes in deprived areas in Scotland.
