- Responsible for the controlling of the Business Line performance and in charge of monthly reporting, profit & loss and net working capital management. - Acted as a Business Partner for the Business Line Management team, analysed and proposed in the area of top line, margin and costs to improve the overall business performance. - Provided monthly financial reporting to the BL Management including presentations and comments, monthly reporting to the Business Unit and half-yearly Business Reviews. - Applied and managed the planning processes for the BL such as the annual budget, monthly forecasts and long term planning (5 Year Business Plan). - Reviewed and challenged the monthly equipment project planning as well as the afters sales volume business, both in terms of sales and margins. - Coordinated accounting matters with local finance staff of legal entities, e.g. actual to forecast variances, cost and margin developments, intercompany back charges, accounting treatments. - Supported and analysed investment decisions, evaluated capital expenditures and submissions. - Supported BL management and M&A team in the acquisition of an equipment manufacturer during due diligence and in the integration of the finance function and processes. SAP ERP Implementation Project: (Jan 2018 – Mar 2019) - Business Domain Lead for the Finance-to-Manage (F2M) Stream: Lead and managed the business team of the F2M stream including the accounting key users (FI), controlling key users (CO) and project key users (PS). Exchange and workshops with external SAP consultants, internal IT Domain Leads and other Stream Leads. - Business Process Lead (BPL) for Controlling (CO): Involved in FI/CO topics during all project phases with focus on CO, e.g. defined functional design documents and blueprint, provided input for configuration, participated in functional unit test and system integration test, provided training on CO topics and monitored the finance master data migration.
- Project Manager AROSA (implementation of a management reporting system SAP BPC for the Surface Solutions Segment) - Full project responsibility of quality, time and cost including all project management tasks (i.e. developing project plan, managing stakeholders, leading project members, managing communication, risks, schedule, budget, etc.) - Performed quarterly synergy tracking and integration cost reporting of the Metco integration - Involved in due diligence phase of the Metco acquisition - Supported Metco Thin Film integration - Implemented the finance master data concept - Reviewed the chart of account mapping of all Balzers entities - Improved monthly closing process for the segment
