Direct responsibility for running and managing the ‘fitness’ department in Decathlon’s Nottingham store. Key job accountabilities included recruitment, managing and developing a team of 6 Sales Assistants, forecasting, stock-control as well as implementing commercial strategy. Although I took several key learnings and had a successful year, propelling the department into +24% growth and nurturing a strong team, the lack of infrastructure/coaching due to the size of the company meant I felt I had to move on.
