Calibrate Consulting is a specialist provider of commercial advisory, claims management and dispute resolution services to the construction industry. In my current role, my responsibilities include: • Drafting and managing complex Variation and Extension of Time (EOT) claims, with individual claim values exceeding $500k. • Preparing submissions and representing clients in formal dispute resolution processes, achieving successful outcomes on claims exceeding $1M. • Contributing to the preparation of expert reports on quantum, delay, and defects for disputes valued at over $100M, strengthening client positions in negotiations and adjudications. • Providing ongoing claims and contract administration services for a major $4.5B infrastructure project, ensuring contractual rights and entitlements were preserved. • Supporting project teams by analysing contract risks, advising on mitigation strategies, and maintaining compliance with contractual time bars and obligations.
• Working at George Fisher Mine in the Assets and Engineering department and Structural Projects department in Process Engineering. • Involved in and responsible for a wide range of projects in the following areas: Shafts and Winders, Surface Crushing, Underground Crushing and Conveying, Surface Paste Plants, Lead Smelter, Copper Smelter, Lead/Zinc Concentrator, Copper Concentrator. • Lead and managed complex structural projects involving personnel from a variety of teams and professional disciplines to ensure the projects are delivered following the capital works program. • Supervise and coordinate site construction activities as required to ensure safety, environmental, production & infrastructure risks are mitigated. • Capital management, monthly reporting and development of budget estimates.
• Working as a third-party technical inspector for large government infrastructure projects including Sydney GATEWAY and Metro. • Conduct field inspection on properties and buildings to assess damage caused by construction activities. • Working as part of a team and independently to complete field inspection of properties and buildings. • Writing of dilapidation reports.
• Working as a third-party Quality Assurance specialist for an environmental and waste disposal environmental advisory company on landfill construction sites in rural New South Wales. • Complete required Quality Assurance documentation. • Experience onsite field work as a requirement for my Engineering degree.
