About

My name is Danny Gardner and I am a recent graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science. Over the course of my academic career I gained experience in a wide variety of programming languages and software frameworks; taking a special interest in data management, data analytics, and computing security. From my past co-op experiences with General Motors and Excellus BCBS, I was able to apply my skills in a variety of real-world situations that encompassed both development and testing environments. These positions allowed me to grow and showcase my abilities as a software engineer. I'm very excited to build upon my strong foundation where I can continue to grow and contribute to a forward-thinking and innnovative company!

    Joined the software development team for CoeLab, a coach-focused sports team management software. My role focuses on building and maintaining our API server and backend data infrastructure, as well as enhancing the web application user interface. Responsibilities include creating and updating PostgreSQL database models, RESTful API endpoints, and React.js UI components. Utilizing tools such as Heroku and AWS Amplify for managing deployments, DataDog and CloudWatch for application monitoring, and Postman for API validation. Working closely with our team to ensure features are created on time and functioning on all fronts.
