About

Simply passionate about learning and driven by the purpose to serve/contribute to common good, by helping build and scale innovative solutions (including low tech & frugal) to systemic - ecological & social – challenges. Caveat : I only share here my (yet small) wins. There would never be enough characters allowed on LinkedIn to describe the times I fell short and obstacles I had the chance to learn from. Trained as a research engineer, I was fortunate to work on some exciting Physics when graduating with a Masters in Quantum Matter and an engineering degree in Nanophysics, along with an International Diploma from Imperial College London with major in theoretical Physics. I was also privileged to complement my analytical skills with a transdisciplinary training at Sciences Po Paris within the master’s in Economics and Business - International Management and Sustainability. I deeply enjoy working in multicultural environments given my international family background, making me trilingual in French, Italian, Spanish, perfectly fluent in English and B2 in Portuguese - currently improving. Through my scientific training, I developed analytical skills applied to fundamental research topics and practical problem solving abilities : Several computational physics projects throughout my studies helped me gain hands-on experience with data analysis and programming (in Python & C mainly). Furthermore, my eclectic choices of education and experiences equipped me with a polyvalence enabling me to adapt when intersecting fields are implied in a project. I am now determined to put to service the competencies I developed through technical and business experience. In particular, I am excited to contribute to implementing solutions to address the challenges of a Sustainable and Inclusive Development. My aim is therefore to keep improving my operational abilities along with my international exposure, while continuing to volunteer in the "Tech/Data for Good" communities.

  • NLP Project Lead at MANA Community
    Oct 2019 - Apr 2020 · 7 mos

Gathered through the Latitudes/Tech for Good community and guided a (great!) team of three data science Master's students - in final year at CentraleSupelec - mentored together with two experienced senior data scientists, in order to explore the implementation of state-of-the-art NLP models (BERT deep language family models) to help fulfill MANA Vox mission of collecting information about the environmental impact of agribusiness corporations. (This was an entirely pro bono commitment to help MANA Community in my personal time aside from completing my Economics master's degree. It has been an exciting and necessary continuation of my previous work to develop a classification model with an IBM Watson based architecture for MANA)
