Sr. Infrastructure Architect responsible for design, implementation and overseeing a 3rd party Operations team in the following areas: All Physical x86 Servers, VMware ESXi environment, SAN, NAS, FC Fabric, Active Directory, electronic messaging, Citrix, VDI, Backups, Datacenter environmental, Server Cabinets, Network and SAN Cabling. Currently focused on planning a Datacenter move with a goal of reducing the overall foot print by 20% while reusing the maximum amount of equipment. This project includes Virtualization 85% of all x86 Servers, replacing a DMX3-4500, replacing 2u servers with Blade technology, Network Core upgrade to 10GbE, SAN Core upgrade to 8Gb, adding a DR site, minimizing the business risk while pushing forward fast enough to meet the business deadlines. This includes developing multiple options and associated costs to present to Executive Management.
Sr. Systems Engineer primarily responsible VMware VI3, SAN, NAS and Windows based servers. Design, deploy and support multiple VMware VI3 Clusters providing substantial cost savings and improving Server uptime. SAN responsibilities include monitoring, reporting, administering and configuring a growing EMC DMX 4500 and Clariion CX700. Also responsible for the FC Network based on Brocade/McData switches and attached Hosts. NAS includes deployment and full support of EMC NAS Gateways and Windows file servers. Additional responsibilities include Windows 2000/2003 server deployment and support. Responsible for researching, recommending and deploying new technologies in a Project based fashion. Documentation and following Change Management procedures is also an important part of the job.
Lead SAN/NAS Administrator for an estimated 1.2 PetaBytes Storage across multiple sites and platforms. Dell Power Vault, Clariion 4700, Celerra, Symmetrix, DMX 2000, Dell 56F, Brocade 3900 & 12000, QLogic & Emulex. Windows 2000 Server Standard & Pro, Windows 2000 Clustering, Boot from SAN. Support four EMC Control Centers, design and implement alert matrix using SNMP traps and deploying Agents. Work with Dell, Microsoft and EMC to support SAN and NAS equipment and software. Support EMC Timefinder for Exchange and Oracle using EMC Solutions Enabler, SymmAPI, SymmCLI and In-House developed Scripts. Develop and follow documented procedures using ISO 9000. Conduct all work following Change Management procedures. Develop and lead projects.

• Monitor and manage a Server Farm. Support Active Directory, LAN and SAN. Systems support for Legacy equipment. Server maintenance, monitoring and updating on Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Novell. Manage tape Backups and tape rotations. Manage Desktop Support Staff. Maintain and troubleshoot a multi location Network. User Management. Exchange Administration. Monitor Router logs and update Router access control list.
