An adaptable, highly resourceful project management professional, I have gained extensive experience in the electrical discipline, working on various underground and rail programmes. This includes Bond Street, Waterloo, Maryland, Manor Park, Seven Kings and Bank stations, amongst others With interpersonal skills, I am confident communicating across multi-disciplined on-site teams to relay project scope, deliverables and budgets, whilst acting as a key conduit during the lifecycle. I adopt a hands-on and proactive approach to problems, issues and dependencies to guarantee projects stay on track to completion, with minimal disruption to the public. I am calm under pressure and comfortable operating within demanding, and often challenging environments, where teamwork, self-guidance and prioritisation of tasks are paramount to ensure project delivery with high quality output. I share lessons learned from previous projects with colleagues and management team, whilst developing expertise in other areas. I combine commercial awareness with financial acumen to maximise project budgets, drive down costs and procure cost effective services and assets from external vendors. Equally, I am a strong site manager in controlling temporary works and awarding sub-contracts. My academic credentials include Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner, APM Introductory Certificate, IEE Wiring Regulations, amongst other training and certification courses to bolster my career. I am committed to further education and professional development, with a willingness to take on any training to reach maximum potential.
Focused on delivering the electrical package for Crossrail Bond Street station, I was responsible for formulating robust project plans to orchestrate on-site works, including the distribution of detailed requests for information, early warning notices, builders works, close out of snags and NCR rectification. I worked in partnership with the quantity surveyor to build in-depth evidence and detailed information for NCEs and site instruction plans. Independently, I have engineered various solutions and collaborated with PC design team for remaining project elements, which includes model evaluation and on-site surveys, sketch and mark-up drawings for production and QA team close-out of punchworks.
Based at the Meridian Water Station, my remit was to project manage delivery of an approved MEP and communications design throughout all approval stations. I evaluated 3D BIM model and 2D drawings for relevant GRIP submissions, which would enable project initiation. I liaised with the design team, PC and lead designers to create a fully integrated solution. I subsequently led the preparation and submission of construction phase plans (CPP), work package plans (WPP), inspection & test plans (ITP), in addition to technical document submissions. I formed a strong link between the MEP, Principal Contractor, clients, and all other on-site professionals to communicate progress effectively. I identified, selected and awarded sub-contract packages based on the quality of services provided. I shaped a variety of project programmes with ongoing review and tracking to drive successful delivery. I responded to early warning notices to record lessons learned, whilst issuing PMIs, NCEs and conducting regular commercial reviews to meet objectives of plan, budget, and project scope. My key achievements included: • Drove MEP and Comms designs through the required gates and client acceptance.
