The site has two 420psig boilers; two 4MW steam turbine generators and one 4MW gas turbine. Average electrical load at the site is approximately 5500KW and the average steam load at full operation is 155,000 pph. Responsibilities/Duties Ensure maintenance and efficient day to day operations of all plant boilers, feed water pumps, turbine generators, electrical distribution system, air compressors, etc. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all key utility equipment such as boilers, feed water pumps, turbine generators, electrical distribution system, air compressors, etc. Identify and quantify potential savings associated with efficient use of steam, power and water and to engineer, coordinate and manage the execution of projects, modifications or practices required to achieve these savings. Requires a thorough working knowledge and experience with heat transfer calculations, water balance calculations and heat recovery systems. Working knowledge of boiler controls, stack monitoring, boiler efficiency calculations, water treatment chemicals and water quality. Develop and schedule annual boiler shutdown and maintenance outages. Ensure that all required safety practices are observed and followed by all utility and outside maintenance contractor personnel.
