For the last 30 years, I've worked offshore, learning more about the ocean floor than most people learn about their own neighbourhoods. I specialise in the science of what lies beneath—CPT and Piezocone testing, vibrocoring, and borehole drilling—helping teams understand exactly what they’re building on before they start. My work has taken me around the world, supporting major investigations and surveys for Oil, Gas, and Renewable Energy projects in fast-moving, unpredictable environments. Along the way, I’ve contributed to some of the world’s most ambitious developments, including Dubai’s Palm Islands 1, 2, and 3, as well as the Nord Stream pipeline route connecting Russia to Germany. Now, I focus on training and consultancy—sharing three decades of practical offshore experience to support professionals across all classes of geotechnical/offshore practice, from foundational techniques to advanced offshore investigation practices.
