I have been self-employed for the past 10 years, starting at age 18, running my own house removals business. During this time, I managed all aspects of the operation, from transportation logistics and customer service to coordinating with other companies to ensure smooth operations. This experience has strengthened my organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills, which I can effectively apply in my future career. Recently, I decided to return to education, with a focus on cyber security, driven by my passion for protecting systems and data from evolving threats. The dynamic nature of cyber security and the critical importance of safeguarding information in today’s world fascinate me. I am deeply motivated to understand the complexities of securing networks and systems, and I am eager to apply the skills I have gained through both my business and my studies to this field. I was born deaf in 1995 and underwent cochlear implant surgery in 1997, becoming one of the youngest people at the time. This experience has shaped my resilience and determination to overcome challenges and continuously improve. These qualities, combined with my passion for cyber security, fuel my drive to stay ahead of emerging threats and contribute meaningfully to the tech industry.
