Profile: Principal Designer, Surface Devices Team: I am part of the Microsoft Devices ID Design studio / building 87. We create concepts all the way to shipping consumer electronics. Currently I lead a program and collaborate and contribute on other projects. My experience is with Nokia / Microsoft phones and accessories. In the Nokia phone design team I was part of a global design team with whom we have created a range of Lumia Windows Phones. My focus there was the Lumia value category. I have been at the start of this category concept and have been Leading the design work for the Lumia 620, 630 and 635. Other products i have been Lead designer for are the Nokia N950, N96 and N95 8GB. I have contributed to design ranges, material technologies and construction and architectures that have been implemented in other products. Expertise: Design process from concepting to product delivery. Broad knowledge in UX and UI, technological innovations, production methods, material technology and manufacturing. Working experience in The Netherlands, China, Finland and Italy. Foreign projects were in Japan, Canada, China, UK, US and Iran. Daily activities: Project lead globally across different sites. Creating narratives & briefs, collaboration with business, marketing, R&D. Reporting & Presenting to the Management. Earlier activities: 3D concept & product creation, visualization and presentation. Collaboration with R&D teams, suppliers and marketing. Mission: I am passionate about combining esthetics, innovation, human wellbeing and technology into products that are truly relevant.
