I have more than 27 years of experience in infrastructure, nuclear and clean energy and project finance; public-private partnerships (PPPs) and M&A advisory services. I currently serving Energy Northwest as a Strategic Finance Program Manager in their New Nuclear development program. Recently, I was the founder, former CEO and Board Member of the non-profit initiative, the International Bank for Nuclear Infrastructure-Implementation Organisation (IBNI-IO). I was also the founder, owner and CEO of Dean Capital Strategies GmbH (DCS), a Vienna, Austria based strategic consulting network firm focused on advising private sector and public sector clients in markets globally. Additionally, I have recently served in expert advisory roles to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), International Finance Corporation (IFC), US Department of Energy / Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) and King Abdullah Center for Renewable and Atomic Energy (K.A. CARE). In my prior role at Raiffeisen Bank International in Vienna, I headed Raiffeisen's infrastructure advisory practice as part of the M&A division. Prior to working for Raiffeisen, I was as a Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) where I had a leading role in the US Public Infrastructure and PPP Group.

I served as a Senior Strategic Finance Management Consultant at Energy Northwest. My main focus was to advise stakeholders on financing related elements of Energy Northwest's New Nuclear (ENNN) program.
In 2021, I founded the global initiative to establish a new exclusively nuclear-focused multilateral infrastructure bank: The International Bank for Nuclear Infrastructure (IBNI). Since 2021, I led a group of 15 - 17 experts who contributed various backgrounds and skill sets including banking and finance, nuclear economics, legal, corporate, regulatory, multilateral and governmental. To date there has been tremendous progress made in engaging with governments, industry, multilateral organisations, financial markets, NGOs and academic institutions.
As the CEO and Member of the Board of Directors, I led a global team within the NGO, the International Bank for Nuclear Infrastructure - Implementation Organisation (IBNI-IO). I worked closely with the Board of Directors in order to rapidly push forward and execute a near term work plan which includes global stakeholder advocacy, coalition-building, research and advisory activities. I worked to develop plans to expand resources, including philanthropic funding, a broad and diversified advisory board, executive management team, full and part-time staffing, contractors/consultants, fellows, volunteers and interns.
I assembled an initial group of 15 experts from various professional backgrounds and skill sets. Since April 2021, I led the rapidly growing initiative to develop dialogue with core governments, industry, NGOs, financial markets and other key stakeholders. I formed the invitational IBNI-IO "Strategic Advisory Group" which was in existence until June 2024.
Since 2016, I have served as an Expert Consultant to the IAEA in the areas of nuclear finance, financial modeling and analysis. contracting, risk allocation, capacity building, training and lecturing. I have served on over 20 missions to the IAEA Member States to engage with diversified stakeholder groups in the form of workshops, seminars and conferences. In 2017, I was also commissioned to develop, updated and maintain a Microsoft Excel based nuclear finance model, Cost of Nuclear Energy Spreadsheet Tool (CNEST), which has been used by numerous IAEA Member State organisations, industry stakeholders and other parties.
Since 2017, I have been serving as an expert lecturer and trainer at the US Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) related to annual interregional training workshops, in cooperation with IAEA. During these annual workshops, which typically include delegations from 20+ IAEA Member States, I have presented on topics related to new-build nuclear finance, contracting, risk allocation, financial analysis, financial modeling and benchmarking. I have also taught specific financial modeling and interactive transactional negotiation sessions.
