Construction has been my career since leaving school. I started on the tools, learning my trade and developing a practical understanding of how projects are delivered on site. Since then, I have progressed through supervisory, site management, project management and contracts management roles, building experience across passive fire protection, refurbishment and wider construction environments. I currently work as a Junior Contracts Manager within the passive fire protection sector, managing multiple concurrent projects across social housing, commercial, banking, care and residential sectors throughout the UK. My responsibilities include project delivery, procurement, labour coordination, client liaison, programme management, commercial administration and ensuring works are delivered safely and to the required standard. Throughout my career I have deliberately pursued opportunities that challenged me and accelerated my development. My progression has not always been straightforward, but every role has contributed to my growth as both a construction professional and an individual. I am passionate about passive fire protection because the work we do protects buildings, safeguards property and ultimately saves lives. My long-term goal is simple: to become a highly competent Contracts Manager with strong technical, operational and commercial knowledge.
