- Lead and orchestrate IBM consulting engagements with Cloud delivery as a central theme. - Where needed, create first-of-a-kind commercial, partnership and technical solutions to help customers innovate and optimize using Cloud and disruptive technologies. - Work across consulting, outsourcing, software teams within and outside IBM to drive Cloud projects momentum.
• Achieved 250% yearly growth for Microsoft’s China and Hong Kong Office 365 and CRM Online businesses. • Owned the largest and most complex deals, and coaching local sales teams in challenging conditions. • Led business and technical escalations to Microsoft headquarters on behalf of customers and local teams until resolution.
• Grew the Cloud business by 450% per year on average. • Developed Microsoft’s partners for established businesses (such as already dominant businesses like Microsoft Office and Exchange) to transition to Cloud-focused businesses, and also supported the incubation of new Cloud partners. • Winning key ‘lighthouse’ accounts in the early days of building the Cloud market. • Daniel took a team-leadership role as a leadership-development stretch goal. • Joined the “Future leaders” program within Microsoft.
• Managed the BI portion of a SGD $6m project to implement the Operational Risk (OR) management system bank-wide, for 1,500 users. • Technical environment: the OR system was web-based, running a JBoss server application on an IIS server – connected to an Oracle database. The reporting system was entirely designed by Daniel’s development team based on Business Objects presentation layer. • Led cultural change management for adoption of an automated risk management system. Influenced internal customers by education and top-down messaging, achieving successful buy-in. Group facilitation techniques were successful. The result was 100% adoption by risk manager and auditors group-wide within 6 months. • Trained all major units (eg. consumer banking, HR) in OR software regularly, across regional offices in Hong Kong, China, India, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Trained 125 users in 2 years. • Managed IT vendors for OR department (IBM, iFlex, Business Objects, Quest) on performance, budget and change management process. • Acted as department’s business continuity coordinator, responsible for 110 staff.
