Daniel Hostettler is President & Chief Executive Officer of The Boca Raton, the only Quadruple Forbes Five-Star resort of its kind in the Americas, and one of just a handful in the world. Since 2021, he has led the resort’s $450 million transformation and repositioning as the premier independent luxury resort in the United States. With more than 25 years in hospitality, Hostettler has built and led some of the industry’s most respected properties. He previously served as President of Relais & Châteaux North America and CEO of the Ocean House Management Collection, overseeing multiple Forbes Five-Star hotels. His earlier leadership roles include Meadowood Napa Valley, The Peninsula Beverly Hills, and Lajitas Golf Resort. Hostettler is known for his focus on building high-performing teams and cultures that deliver exceptional guest experiences. He is a frequent writer and speaker on leadership, service, and organizational culture. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver, with postgraduate studies at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. He serves as a visiting professor at Johnson & Wales University and as a trustee of the Culinary Institute of America. He lives with his wife, Katherine, and their two children in Boca Raton, Florida, and Watch Hill, Rhode Island.
Lead the transformation and ongoing operation of The Boca Raton, a large-scale, integrated resort encompassing multiple hotels, a private club, extensive food & beverage, and a broad range of recreational and wellness offerings. Since 2021, have overseen a significant reinvestment and repositioning of the property as an independent modern luxury destination, while strengthening operational performance and service culture across all aspects of the business. Built and lead a highly aligned, high-performing executive team, implementing a collaborative, team-based operating model focused on accountability, cross-functional execution, and consistency at scale. This structure has enabled strong performance across both guest/member experience and financial results. In addition to day-to-day operations, partner closely with ownership on long-term strategy, capital planning, and the continued evolution of the resort’s brand and positioning.
In his capacity as North American President of the associations largest region, Daniel A. Hostettler oversaw member properties across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean, and represented the region on the international Board of Directors.
