• Led and managed UW Health’s Magnet program resulting in successful designation for over 4,000 nursing in all practice settings • Managed daily operations of the Nursing Clinical Advancement Program (NCAP) and supported nurses through personal reflection and professional development as they participated in the program • Possessed specialized knowledge in nursing position management • Assessed organization readiness for Magnet re-designation and lead quality improvement strategies to meet Magnet criteria • Led a diverse group of nurses throughout the organization as Magnet Champions • Educated employees organization-wide on the Magnet framework through various presentations and development of computer-based competencies • Advocated for continued growth of nursing shared governance across UW Health • Planned and developed content for a 2-day workshop for direct care nurses on the Nursing Coordinating Council • Monitored and managed data for nurse satisfaction, Nurse Sensitive Clinical Indicators, patient satisfaction, and turnover, certification, and education rates • Conducted reviews of relevant research, other literature, and best practices related to programs and developed plans for implementation • Supported professional practice advancement initiatives, such as nursing professional practice model development, the nursing care delivery model, and nursing strategic planning • Empowered direct care nurses in the creation of UW Health’s Nursing Philosophy, Mission, and Vision • Led organization-wide recognition initiative titled ‘Magnet-gram’ for three years and raised over $4,400 for Friends of UW Health grant program and over $2,100 for the nursing department
• Supported Sigma Theta Tau, Kappa Mu Chapter (website design, member interviews, budget management) • Served on the Department of Graduate Nursing Committee as a student liaison, September 2021-May 2023 (solicited and provided feedback to graduate nursing faculty to drive improvement) • Served on the Student Development & Scholarship Committee, October 2021-May 2023 (planned and facilitated graduation celebrations for masters and doctorate graduates) • Graduate Student Experience Committee, December 2022-May 2023 • Organized and led graduate nursing student town halls • Graded graduate student nursing papers and discussion posts (APA skills) • Completed literature reviews to support graduate nursing faculty and grant writing
