Neighborhood information regarding my profile & background photo taken by Paul Duda, July 2019: https://www.pauldudagallery.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorZbljNL3GW-iHsaroZaEXnGout6SmvcETi7SuxAuH8lIzgBrSb Located in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood on the near west side, St.Theodosius Orthodox Cathedral is the oldest Orthodox Church in Ohio. Built in 1911 by first generation immigrants, such as my Rusyn grandparents, Fedor (Frank after Ellis Island, Theodore in English) and Anastazia (Ester) Chomik (now Homick); the cathedral's architectural plans were personally approved and construction funded by the last Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II. In this photo the cathedral is in the foreground with the city's downtown and Lake Erie in the background. Tremont is home to many more Orthodox and Byzantine Catholic churches and well worth a visit. Onion shaped cupolas (Russian: луковичная глава, lúkovichnaya glava) are a type of architectural dome usually associated with Russian and Ukrainian Orthodox and Byzantine Catholic churches. For more information about St. Theodosius see: https://sttheodosius.org, and when in Cleveland be sure to visit my favorite tourist site, Tremont's Ukrainian Museum and Archives of Cleveland. See: https://www.umacleveland.org for an historical trip back to the city's 19th and 20th century. For more magnificent photos of St. Theodosius, our family church for over a hundred years, and where my parents and my wife, Victoria, and I were married, see the full collection to glorify our Lord and Savior at: https://www.google.com/maps/uv?pb=!1s0x8830faa31ffe2ad5%3A0xe673f20c55f8426!3m1!7e115!4shttps%3A%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipPkw-IYbj2ngituE0G0LsznU4uhpsXOxfBrMOLp%3Dw160-h160-k-no!5sst%20theodosius%20-%20Google%20Search!15sCgIgAQ&imagekey=!1e10!2sAF1QipO0LRDCmV0CXkCpjvmZOEWwGSaQGPuG3lJJ12vJ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjfv7eJt-fvAhVYV80KHRFRAGUQoiowEnoECCYQAw
