HELLO. I'm Dane, and I've been designing in the ad business for over 15 years. I’ve seen the client meeting meltdowns, the 1-hour turnaround deadlines, and all the insider-only, lovable moments within “ad industry life” – and I get a kick out of all of it. I enjoy the challenges. I crave working in a team with a common goal. I dork out on celebrating how fortunate I am to work on the brands I have, and secretly smile when I see my work out and about in “normal” life. I was introduced to this business while a student at Platt College, by working in print production at a local bindery. Dedication, work ethic, and creative energy fueled my upward mobility, becoming a Studio Artist, and now, a Designer and Art Director. I thrive off making agencies and brands shine. I look forward to many years of building new brands, evolving established ones, and turning “work” into “joy” with talented creative teams. Want to team up? Contact me today.
Moved into a Design and Art Direction position after working through the studio as a Studio Designer and Production Artist. Operated in an ad agency environment, working in conjunction with Account Executives, digital and production teams to meet clients’ specific needs on creative projects. This position includes building upon established brands and creating new brands in collaboration with Account Executives and Creative Directors.
Worked in the studio designing new ads, making content updates and preparing files for print. Also included working with a digital team to build assets for web. Learned a great deal about the print process and how to build pieces to specifications working with a production team. Later moved into more design and creative work, until that became my full-time duty.
Typeset and prepared business planning books for printing at a high volume company. Included variable data printing, and working alongside a marketing department to customize books for each client.
Performed all prepress and typesetting duties for a small print shop. Primarily business cards and brochures.
Contract Work — Assisted in bindery department. Included collating, drilling, cutting, binding and receiving paper.
