I am a birth and postpartum doula. I use my 10 years of experience as a librarian and a mother of three to support and guide expectant parents on their birth journey.
• Conduct client interviews and maintain optimal communication with client • Act as a liaison between Attorney and clients, courts, Board of Education, and Service Providers • Assist in Discovery in Education law cases, Criminal law cases, Traffic and other matters. • Draft legal documents and correspondence with The Board of Education and service providers. • Attend administrative hearings with the attorney (in person and virtually) • Investigate the facts of a case and arrange evidence for Attorney review • Organize and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing systems • File legal documents with the court • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office
• Refined and enhanced an existing citizenship test curriculum and taught a citizenship preparation class to new immigrants • Provided information literacy instruction to library patrons, including those hard to reach such as vulnerable and underserved populations • Taught technical instruction for mobile devices, email, government databases, and other library resources • Provided readers advisory services and community enrichment events such as ESL tutoring, book clubs, and children’s room activities • Partnered with homeless, unemployed, and formerly incarcerated patrons to utilize library resources for job searching, accessing health care, legal services, and housing
I oversaw the day-to-day functions of one of the largest, most unique and complete mountaineering libraries in the world. I answered reference and research questions, planned and managed the budget, did collections maintenance, acquisitions, donor stewardship, fundraising, and climbing community outreach. I created exhibitions and gave tours, and I directed our ambitious digitization program.
