As Senior IR Consultant, I conduct investigations of ransomware, tax fraud and other endpoint forensics cases as well as Business Email Compromise (BEC) scenarios, and advise clients with post-breach containment, remediation and investigation efforts. I ensure project reports are high quality, detailed, and actionable. As part of my role, I also lead a small team of other IR Consultants. I am responsible for overseeing the team's day-to-day work on engagements, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standard, in a timely manner, and within budget. Additionally, I am also Technical Lead for Asceris' BEC services, ensuring we always deliver best-in-class reactive investigations as well as proactive assessments while continuously improving our efficiency, processes, and tools. I assist in developing our in-house solution for the collection and automated processing of BEC artefacts.
As a Mentor at Darktrace, I helped build a successful team of Cyber Technologists in the Munich office. My responsibilities included overseeing the onboarding and continuous learning process, tracking progress on team targets and goals set by management, as well as being a trusted advisor for my team, supporting them in their growth and on important projects whenever needed.
The Cyber Technologist (and Cyber Technology Specialist) role is Darktrace's take on the sales engineer position. As a CT, I was responsible for scoping, delivering, and maintaining the best possible deployment of Darktrace's security solutions on both the pre- and post-sales side, and was the primary technical point of contact for a wide range of different stakeholders across clients. The role exposed me to a large number of very different corporate networks across the DACH and UK region, ranging from small corporations to strategic, global enterprises. As an Email Specialist, I was particularly engaged in Darktrace's Email security product and provided Subject Matter Expert advise on the product as well as the email threat landscape both internally and to clients, helping to support and secure a number of important deals in the region.
As webmaster, I was responsible for re-building the AStA's website from scratch on the WordPress platform, with extensions curated as well as self-developed in PHP as needed, and later maintained the main website as well as several other web projects of the students' union. I also managed accounts and access for all web resources across departments (email, file share, etc.), and worked closely with the AStA's spokespeople as well as the sysadmin and data protection officer.
At Leuphana's Centre for Digital Cultures, I was responsible for organising, filming and editing interviews and lectures at events with international experts in the field of Digital Cultures as well as minor administrative tasks. We produced the "CDC Questions", a series of 159 interviews where experts and researchers answered four questions around the meaning and outlook for digital cultures in our society.
