I thrive on helping businesses grow and become more successful. I’m always looking for opportunities, inventing new ways to promote sales, provide service, and add value. It started with an opportunity to build my own company, a start-up commercial laundry equipment distribution company I grew from two employees in one state to 120 across seven states. I focused on opportunities with existing customers and scaled up, ultimately creating several diversified revenue streams. Innovations that led to sales growth from $200k to $25 million included: • Expanding equipment sales to include rental • Retaining and leveraging equipment to build a company portfolio of 83 coin laundries • Targeting apartment laundry niche to expand service • Devising inventive marketing strategies at customer locations, which significantly increased sales • Expanding geographic scope, negotiating the acquisition and divesting of 50+ businesses in the process Growth didn’t all come from within. I also offered clients the opportunity to expand their businesses, ultimately creating 150+ successful laundries for them to operate. This included turnkey support from on-site evaluation and lease negotiation to construction and installation, all adding to our revenue. Why was I so focused on continually building the business? Because I had an exit strategy in mind the day I started it. A plan like that is key. I did ultimately sell the business, taking on a transitional leadership role with the acquiring company where I continued to help boost the business’ value. I look forward to many more opportunities to help businesses build value.
