Executive Director, New York State Special Events | Leading New York’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Strategy | Transforming Complex Ideas Into Real-World Impact

New York City Metropolitan Area

About

The hardest part of any ambitious idea is not creating it. It is getting people, institutions, and systems to move in the same direction. For more than 26 years, I have worked at the intersection of government, business, culture, and public life, leading high-visibility initiatives where success depends on aligning competing priorities, understanding human behavior, and delivering under intense public and political scrutiny. My work has centered on a simple reality: strategy is only meaningful if it works in practice. The gap between intention and execution is where most ambitious ideas fail. That gap is where I spend my time. In a world where attention is fragmented and the bar to get people to show up, participate, and engage has never been higher, I focus on what it takes to move people from interest to action. Whether designing major public experiences, building public-private partnerships, managing complex operations, or leading initiatives involving millions of people, I bring together strategy, systems, and execution to create outcomes that have real impact. I currently serve as Executive Director for New York State Special Events at Empire State Development, where I lead New York State’s engagement with the 2026 FIFA World Cup and broader statewide initiatives. My work spans government coordination, private-sector partnerships, strategic planning, public experience design, and efforts that generate meaningful economic and civic impact. I am at my best when complexity is unavoidable, the stakes are high, and execution is the ultimate test of strategy.
