∙ Responsible for all voice and data infrastructure at all campus locations including campus network backbone, firewalls, wireless, VPN, content switching, datacenter fabric, VoIP, PBX, and cabling infrastructure ∙ Responsible for all cloud and on premise server infrastructure, datacenters, and core campus services (web, O365, email, DNS, DHCP, etc.) at all campus locations. ∙ Oversee the strategic management and operational oversight of the University’s infrastructure and Operations in order to provide operational efficiencies, technical efficiency, stability and performance ∙ Oversee partner and vendor relationships to ensure value and efficiency in all infrastructure hardware, software and licensing agreements ∙ Interface with internal and external customers to develop relationships and maintain appropriate service levels to meet operational needs ∙ Develop strategies for future infrastructure upgrades and solicit funding ∙ Develop departmental processes, policies and standards ∙ Audit response and remediation
• Responsible for design and management of all WAN/LAN infrastructure at all UTSA campus locations (campus network backbone, routers, firewalls, wireless, VPN, content switching, datacenter fabric, VoIP, PBX, and cabling infrastructure, etc.) • Management of all aspects of communication infrastructure team including staffing, budget, purchasing, training, employee performance, project management, design and operations • Functioned as technical point of contact for UTRC network on the UTSA Campus • Collaborated with campus research principles to identify local and state network resources • Identified opportunities to increase operational efficiencies, technical efficiency, stability and performance • Managed partner and vendor relationships to ensure value and efficiency in all communications hardware, software and licensing agreements • Interfaced with internal and external customers to develop relationships and maintain appropriate service levels to meet operational needs • Developed operational policies, procedures and documentation
