Work with DoD Prime Contractors to develop strategies for contract pursuits and engage customers to deliver advanced, enabling technologies. Collaborate with companies to identify business opportunities and develop capture strategies recognizing that partnerships are a valuable and critical for success. As Director of Business Development, I manage the business pipeline across the company portfolio of hardware, software and services. Create white papers and respond to SBIR/OTA topics to increase the technical base that further develops the innovation to deliver Warfighter capabilities. Continue to support the IERUS team fostering opportunities and growing a culture for IERUS employees to work in a challenging environment and solve difficult problems as a team.
Designed and developed the best place in Huntsville, AL to do Business Development. Leading this endeavor satisfied an entrepreneurial craving for 5 years. Added outdoor seating, doubled the kitchen space and added an additional 60 seats of private dining space. Maintained an $2.2M+ revenue stream with approximately 45 employees. Recognized for quality food and beverage in the Downtown Huntsville corridor that was visited from people around the world.
Develop and manage the pipeline of opportunities from the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), US Army, US Air Force and NASA customers. Engage both Government and community stakeholders to identify and capture new business by creating strategic partnerships that leverage strengths and capabilities. Lead Capture Manager for the MDA Modeling and Simulation Contract (MASC) Small Business Set-Aside (SBSA) and support the capture strategy for the MASC Full and Open (F&O) team. Coordinate with Raytheon to enhance opportunities from the Raytheon-Cummings Aerospace mentor-protégé agreement. Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) of 25+ years of experience for the use of Models and Simulations (M&S) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment. Developing a strategy to further expand Cummings Aerospace software development capability by expanding the architecture and scope to support new assessments including data reduction and post-processing, visualization, multi-thread processing and interoperability with existing software products with new customers.
Working with the Mission Systems (DoD) group to pursue commercial and Government opportunities leveraging TBE's strong M&S/HWIL capability including Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) and EADSIM. TBE has also developed some oustanding hardware programs and maintains an impressive manufacturing capability. Primary focus is to further develop TBE capability within Redstone Arsenal - identifying and developing opportunities at AMRDEC and AMC. Additional focus is to position TBE to pursue activities at TACOM. Responsible for identifying and maturing NATO/EU opportunities. Participate in NATO C4ISR symposiums. Enable TBE to participate in the NATO SE&I IFB. Provide to other Teledyne companies process to participate in BOA with our extensice product catalogue. Responsible for all TBE Mission Systems group tradeshows and business development meetings.
