The Commercial Development Manager is responsible for heading up the following functions within the MHUK business: -Trade Marketing; embedding and developing the largest Trade Marketing function in MH Europe consisting of TM Managers & Activation Specialists. -The Education Team; consisting of Brand Ambassadors for champagne & spirits -The Commercial Development Team; responsible for developing business tools and managing the use of CRM platforms within the business so as to maximise the sales team's impact and efficiency. Additionally, The Commercial Development Manager role: -Is central in promoting cross functional communications within the business and works closely with Marketing to devise and implement brand strategies in trade. -Works closely with the Category Management and Insights teams to share consumer insights with customers. -Is critical in contributing to the on trade sales strategy and works closely with the On Trade Director to develop programs to improve capabilities in the on trade Sales Team consisting of 30 individuals. -Sits on the on trade and off trade Management teams. Finally, this role has enabled me to lead, manage and develop a team of 14 diverse and capable talents within the Moet Hennessy UK business.
I managed the Victorian and Tasmanian business, for Moet Hennessy Australia. Responsibilities included: - Set vision and strategy for the Victorian and Tasmanian business -Motivate, coach and develop a team of 10 Sales professionals - Drive a strong success culture - Deliver Sales budget by value and volume - Manage DSO and credit risk. - Manage advertising and promotional budgets - Manage travel and entertainment budgets - Maintain and develop relationships with key business partners - Negotiate major supply agreements - Execute Trade Marketing activity in collaboration with the National Marketing team Within this role I was able to consecutively exceed the annual quantitative budgets set of the Victorian & Tasmania state market which accounted for close to 40% of the on trade and independent business, nationally, by value.
I was able to pioneer a new role established in the business and responsible for: -Developing and implementing a major indirect route to market strategy across MH Australia's retail channels. -Signing and managing a number of the company's top national on-premise business partners including the Star Entertainment Group, Solotel Group, Hilton Hotel Group and many others. After some strong short term successes in this role I was moved into a State Manager position and this role was subsequently split into 2 individual key Account Manager positions responsible for the RTM & National On Trade respectively.
