During this 6 week internship I experienced the diverse business culture of Singapore and gained an understanding of the importance of of intercultural intelligence in the workplace. Working in the developing stages of this budding company also provided challenging and unique technical challenges. I developed strong CAD skills and used an inquisitive and problem solving mindset to design a 3D printed, watertight electronics housing to be used on a product in the construction industry. Primary role involved was part of systems and testing team working on an innovative technology in the field of water quality analysis at a resolution of parts per billion. During the initial 12 month internship and extended time while completing tertiary studies, my main tasks included: - System regression testing and recommendation for potential product developments - Verification and Validation (V&V) testing against provided customer requirements - Test and trial plans of alternative application of the product Additional tasks included: - Solidworks design - Performing and designing software test cases - Business to business relations at trade shows - Technical research for future projects - Production procedures and documentation
Started as a sales representative and after four months was leading the store in sales whilst working part time. Currently in the process of moving on to management role as assistant store manager. • Developed point of sale system and cash handling. • Analysed customer needs and created a personalised sale that suits both business and customer. • Resolving problems and troubleshooting with both customers and technical problems.
Initially employed for clearing tables and worked upwards to become part of the store management team and was needed to adapt skills towards • Running day-to-day operations. • Communicating to guests with regards to reconciling customer’s complaints, requests and feedback (both online and in person). • Evaluating variance reports from daily banking and cash handling responsibilities, including safe count and till balancing • Controlling and mapping of labor hours. • Supervising staff which included coaching and mentoring to monitor performance and staff morale. • Ordering and storing deliveries of necessary stock.
