About

Born and raised on the beautiful island of Antigua in the Caribbean, moved to Florida as a teenager and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2014 at Florida International University in Miami. Then completed medical school with a concentration in Medical Humanities in Tampa in 2018 at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Moved to Dallas in 2018 and completed pediatric residency training with University of Texas Southwestern at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Special areas of interest within general pediatrics are adolescent medicine and mental health. I enjoy reading and writing, and have several pieces published in national medical humanities textbooks and magazines. I have seen the difference that books can make in a child’s life, and encourage parents to read to children as soon as they are born, to ingrain intellectual curiosity and good habits. As a former competitive swimmer, I often find myself in the pool doing laps to keep active and cool.
