    • Calibration Specialist - Diesel Combustion and Emissions
      Jan 2014 - Dec 2017 · 4 yrs

Developed the calibration of the SDE E6 B13DTx engines at Opel's headquarter in Rüsselsheim until Start of Regular Production (SORP). Successively I worked on the new 3-Cylinder diesel modular engine. My main duties involve testing activities at chassis dyno, engine test bench and RDE with PEMS system. My work is focused on the development and refinement of the calibration (combustion) to meet emission requirement (Euro6b, Euro 6c and Euro6d-temp) with LNT and SCR systems (sea-mid level), noise and fuel economy targets with the in-house software. Green and Black belt certification in DFSS

  • System development & Base calibration responsible engineer at General Motors
    Nov 2011 - Dec 2013 · 2 yrs 2 mos

Thanks to this working experience at GM, I am developing my expertises and knowledge in diesel engine calibration field, focused on the combustion side. I work in the team responsible for the calibration of the 1,3l SDE Euro6 B13DTx diesel engine. During this period I learnt to manage an engine test bench and a vehicle roller bench as well as to coordinate the related testing activities. I also gained experience with the Design of Experiments (DoE) technique and the main calibration tools (e.g. INCA). Definition of the micro activities according to the test planning (test bench, workshop and roller bench), test execution and data analysis are some of my main tasks. Experimental projects and testing followed by technical reports of the work done helped me to further develop the skills of oral and written communication, critical analysis of the data and presentation of final results
