In my previous role as the Vice President of Data Analytics at Reed"s, I built a generalized data analytics platform that enabled the company to gain insights from a large pool of transactional data. I aligned the management and key department members on how to interpret and incorporate data-generated insights into sales, operations-planning, and finance. I also organized and structured dozens of data sources from multiple systems within our distribution channels, providing our national sales team with standardized and relevant data to build quantitative-based stories for national account meetings. • Built a generalized data analytics platform within a 30-year old craft beverage company. • Aligned management/executives and key department members toward best-practices on how to interpret and incorporate data-generated insights derived from a very large pool of organizationally captured transactions into key decisions specifically within sales, operations-planning and finance. • Organized and structured dozens of data sources from multiple systems within our distribution channels, providing our national sales team standardized, relevant data to build quantitative-based stories for national account meetings. • Programmed a dynamic demand planning and production scheduling tool to project out both finished-good and raw material needs based upon established criteria for optimized inventory levels with respect to forecasted sales.
• Identified an emerging opportunity within the packaged coffee space and crafted a business plan and omni-channel sales strategy around self-distribution of kegs and cans of cold-brewed coffee. • Personally designed and built out all manufacturing and distribution processes, systems and capabilities, having had initial responsibility for wholly executing on each function as we boot-strapped the business. • Hired, trained and managed a ten person operations team including three brewers, two roasters and five distribution technicians. • Identified, onboarded and managed key coffee roaster relationships around the Mid-Atlantic region with whom we “collaborated” on cold brew coffee kegs for their shops and wholesale customers. • Led the purchase and integration in 2018 of a wholesale coffee roasting operation in Virginia which significantly cut raw material costs associated with over 70% of company revenue. • Generated $1.65M in revenue in 2019, the company’s third full year full year of operations, 80% of which was self-distributed and 100% self-manufactured.
• Managed a staff of six full-time salaried employees and twelve hourly employees. • Scaled operations during a period of 60% production growth and increased labor efficiency by over 20% through quantitatively measuring, benchmarking and re-designing existing processes. • Designed and deployed a direct store distribution function that now delivers to over sixty accounts spread across five Mid-Atlantic States on a weekly basis. • Organized existing operational data and constructed systems and procedures that enable continual gathering and analysis of relevant data for use in sales, production and inventory management. • Executed the budgetary/treasury/accounting duties as CFO.
