Right after my University studies I began my contract at Mikron, where I initially designed mechanical components on machines for customer projects. The tight timelines in association with the complexity of the mechanical assemblies taught me how to work under stress while respecting the technical specifications. In 2016 I started to help developing the Multi-X, a new modular and reconfigurable platform whose goal was to simplify the engineering and logistics of the future customer projects, while also greatly reducing the costs of the final product. Here I learned what it means to follow the life of a project starting from the concept phase, to building the first prototypes and to the final assembly of the machine. The Multi-x platform won in 2019 the “Award for Innovation” at the EMO Hannover fair and in 2020 the “Best of Industry” award. Apart from studying on books, I truly love learning by applying my skills and listening to other people’s experience. I find the direct exchange of experiences very enriching. This is mostly what makes people enjoy working with me and what helps building trust in me in a short period of time. During my free time I sometimes spend entire evenings in my garage (which looks more like a workshop) where I weld metal, build carbon fibre components, renovate antique furniture and repair motorcycles.
Customer projects department: Worked for 1 year as a mechanical designer on different machine systems: Multistar LX, Multistar CX, Multistar NX, NAM, NRG R&D department: Worked from the very beginning in 2016 on the new Multi-x platform, helping develop and design a variety of components: first concepts of the machine and its modularity, machining units, carpentry components, hydraulic systems It was required a constant communication with the Mechatronics team, Software team, Marketing team, Machine operators and Suppliers Company description: Mikron Machining is the leading supplier of customized, highly productive machining systems for the manufacturing of complex high-precision components made of metal such as turbocharger housings, injection nozzles and ballpoint pen tips.
Worked for 1 month in the German branch of Mikron Machining to improve the German language
Worked part-time as a surveillance agent during the University years.
