As Head of IT for dnata Australia, I am accountable to deliver world class services required for Airport Operations as well as Cargo Handling across all locations.
Managing global delivery of all IT requirements for dnata International - Airports.
Lead the hybrid cloud foundation programme delivery which included migrating 30+ corporate websites and applications including emirates.com to the AWS public cloud unlocking AED >40m in savings annually. • Driving the transformation of the Emirates infrastructure delivery / operations function into a modern, agile workforce consisting of 20 DevOps teams. • Accountable for the successful delivery of on-premise application (approx. 1250 apps) footprint to On Premise Cloud, AWS & Azure. • Program delivery leading multi-disciplinary teams of 120 multi skilled engineers and scrum masters creating cpabilities - Infrastructure as a Service, AWS landing zone, new CI/CD pipelines, implementation of RPA (robotic process automation), site reliability engineering, and technical quality assurance. • Delivered new API / event streaming integration capabilities enabling the large footprint of applications to communicate more seamlessly
Accountable for 80+ Programme and Project professionals supporting a portfolio of 100+ inflight technology and infrastructure projects. Budget pa $150m and Inflight Project Budget $450m. • Accountable for successful implementation of all infrastructure projects for the bank • Responsible for an operational data centre upgrade including building fabric and create multiple data halls with migration of 9000 IT assets - budget $100m.
Delivery accountability for all telecom, hosting & storage projects. Budget pa $25 million. • Core banking infrastructure upgrades • EMC storage & fabric upgrades, NAS, SAN, midrange, wintel, unix, AIX, datacentre, associated infrastructure and network perimeter. • Real Time Transaction Monitoring – Debit card fraud detection migration from mainframe to AIX. • Email upgrade - Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 and implement Symantec Enterprise Vault, Account migration of 40,000 staff with data migration of 100TB of mail.
Accountable for $64 million programme health check identifying 36 key issues which would have contributed to programme failure; contract outsourcing of key systems development and delivering technology projects.
Selected by CBA to participate in a six-week secondment program working with an indigenous organisation based in North East Arnhem Land. • Developed and implemented a project for employment of indigenous prisoners. The outcome of this project generated interest from countries around the world with significant interest coming from Canada.
Responsible for delivery of multiple projects relating to US Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) sanctions and implementing ATM Reform to remove interchange fees
