Research Title: "An Exposition of Support Vector Machine Classification with a Purpose-Built GUI for exploring some commonly used kernels" - Conducted research on the theory of Support Vector Machines and the mathematical properties of kernels - Performed experiments on parameter optimization and on the selection of kernels for linearly inseparable datasets - Implemented a data exploration tool with Support Vector Machine classification capabilities in R, using the Shiny and Kernlab packages - Wrote a 75-page thesis paper that provides an exposition of Support Vector Machines and the software tool developed, as well as a comparison of the various kernels used during model selection
