- Curated a balanced subset of a 22M-sample remote sensing dataset using feature-aware sampling strategies to support high-resolution canopy height prediction. - Finetuned a large multi-modal geo-spatial foundation model (Satlas Pretrain) for segmentation task, reached comparable performance as SOTA baselines using significantly smaller dataset and less computational resources, provided invaluable insights to the development of the OlmoEarth foundation models.
I work as a R&D intern at AI2's Wildlands team, mentored by Paul Albee and Jay Thiagarajan. Pioneered a novel representation learning approach utilizing ordinal contrastive learning and nearest neighbor search to estimate weights of combustible materials from waist-level top-down images, an area with limited prior research and no existing successful implementations Fine tuned DINOv2 on a small dataset, overcoming data limitations through multi-class classification data balancing with data augmentation techniques. Applied principal component analysis (PCA) for feature dimensionality reduction
