I am a seasoned software architect with a decade of FinOps experience and a taste and talent for variety. I have deep experience in software development, with a focus on enabling teams to go far together. I currently unearth data-driven solutions for dynamic FinOps challenges. I value and enjoy spending my time with multiple, cross-functional teams aligned on a common goal.
I researched, prototyped and led global scrum teams in the implementation of new features for our OpenText FinOps product.
I architected a solution to ingest and analyze Terraform state files. We released an HTTP Terraform backend (Terraform endpoint to store managed state information). I helped integrate this with CMDB (correlate Terraform-created entities with Configuration Items) as well as CI/CD (Jenkins-based infrastructure deployment, state file capture) and notification (Microsoft Teams via webhooks).
I lead a solution to procure, manage and optimize rapidly growing use of public cloud resources. A cloud services aggregator simplifies onboarding cloud marketplace compute services. These services are then deployed using automation. Reporting fetches and visualizes cloud billing data. Analytics run across the data to suggest optimizations such as reservations, right-sizing and light-switching.
I am proud to have led a common component team that grew together to launch a product! I was hired to oversee a team of architects and lead backlog management and definition for a “marketplace portal” to be used in multiple HPE products. Along the way, we developed a point-to-multipoint exchange, an Identity Management solution as well as an Aggregation service to host data in a common Catalog. Product launch was branded HPE Propel and focused on a “front door to IT” approach for end-user IT consumption. Oversaw definition of feature set. Led security initiatives. Focal point for all customer interaction (including escalation management). Focus on microservices architecture packaged initially as virtual appliance and then as Docker containers managed using K8S.
