Perth, Western Australia, Australia
I am currently a HASS teacher at Shenton College, having achieved permanency in 2025 and full registration in February 2026. In 2026, I am teaching at a 0.6 load (Year 9 HASS mainstream, Year 9 HASS GATE, and Year 11 ATAR Politics and Law). I also work 0.4 as an Academic Program Coordinator (Debating), coordinating the College’s teams for WADL’s Schools Debating Competition and the Law Society’s Mock Trial competition, among numerous others. In 2025, I was proud to coordinate the Year 9 Canberra and Sydney Tour, with 80 students and 9 staff attending the week long excursion. I was also proud of the achievements of my classroom students and Shenton’s debating students, with our Senior team taking out the trophy in the final of the SDC. In July 2023, I completed a Master of Secondary Teaching at UWA. Throughout this degree I acted as the Vice President of the UWA Teaching Society in 2022, and President in 2023. Being made a Life Member for my contributions to the Society, I continue to support it as a past President and an alumni. In July 2020, I achieved First Class in my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science and International Relations at UWA with my thesis ‘Development as Contested Structural Change: Explaining Aid Inefficacy in Neoliberal Good Governance Programs’. In December 2021, I graduated from a Master of Public Policy (Public Administration and Governance). I have previously worked at the UWA Student Guild, the WA Department of Finance, UWA as a Political Science and International Relations tutor, and for the AEC and WAEC. As an alumni, I continue to be involved with PROSH, an annual UWA event where students create and sell a satirical newspaper to raise funds for WA charities. In 2021, while I was a Co-Director, UWA students raised $42,000 for local WA charities Dogs' Refuge Home, Fair Game, and Short Back and Sidewalks. I am a determined, hardworking and passionate individual who seeks to make personal and positive connections with people, as well as making valuable contributions with the people and organisations I work with.
