Lansing, Michigan, United States
I joined Price Heneveld as a registered patent agent in 2018 and am now a partner and intellectual property attorney. My primary focus is patent prosecution for utility patents relating to mechanical matters, however I also work with trademarks, domain disputes, and copyrights. I previously worked as a summer associate in 2017 at an intellectual property firm in southeastern Michigan, where I gained experience drafting motions, settlement statements and discovery responses for cases at trial, appellate level, and in the International Trade Commission, preparing responses for USPTO Office Actions, conducting document review on trade secrets, and drafting patent application claims for chemical and mechanical matters. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Political Science from Northeastern University in 2015. As an undergraduate student, I spent a summer as a biotechnician for a toxicology testing and research laboratory in Chicago, IL. I then went on to work as a litigation assistant at a defense firm in Boston, MA as I prepared to attend law school. At Michigan State University College of Law, I gained experience working with several professors as a teaching assistant in the areas of intellectual property research, writing and analysis; constitutional law; and trial practice. I also clerked for a personal injury firm in Lansing, Michigan. As a law student at Michigan State, I served as captain of the Patent Drafting Competition Moot Court Team for two years, served as a Senior Managing Editor of Michigan State Law Review, and was part of the Geoffrey Fieger Trail Practice Institute.
